Business consulting that fixes what actually costs you money

We sit inside your operations for weeks, not hours. We find the margin leaks, the misaligned teams and the pricing gaps that generic advisors miss. Then we fix them with you.

What we do for you

Four areas where we consistently produce measurable change.

Operational restructuring

We map your workflows end to end, identify bottlenecks, redundant handoffs and under-used capacity, then redesign the process so it runs with fewer people and less friction. Typical engagement: six to ten weeks.

Financial performance review

Gross margin, overhead allocation, cash conversion cycle: we pull apart your numbers with your finance team and build a dashboard you can actually use each month. Most clients see 8 to 15 per cent margin improvement within two quarters.

Leadership alignment

When the board says one thing and the management team does another, growth stalls. We facilitate structured workshops, define accountabilities and install a cadence of review meetings that keeps everyone pointed the same direction.

Market entry and growth strategy

Considering a new product line, a geographic expansion or an acquisition? We build the commercial model, stress-test assumptions and present a go / no-go recommendation backed by real data rather than optimism.

Patterns we see too often

  • Revenue is growing but profit is flat or falling
  • Senior hires keep leaving within the first year
  • Pricing was set three years ago and never revisited
  • The monthly board pack takes a week to compile and nobody reads it
  • Two departments do overlapping work and neither knows it

What changes after we work together

  • A clear P&L view by product, channel and customer segment
  • Defined roles with measurable targets reviewed every four weeks
  • A pricing framework linked to value delivered, not cost-plus guesswork
  • Automated reporting that takes hours, not days
  • One owner per process, documented and trained

How an engagement works

No 200-page proposal. No months of scoping. We move quickly because your competitors do.

Diagnostic call

A 45-minute conversation where we learn what keeps you up at night. Free, no obligation, confidential.

On-site deep dive

We spend three to five days inside your business: interviewing staff, reviewing data, observing operations. We pay for our own travel and accommodation.

Findings and plan

A concise written report, typically 12 to 20 pages, with prioritised actions, expected financial impact and a realistic timeline. We present it to your leadership team in person.

Implementation support

We stay involved for the agreed period: coaching managers, attending reviews, adjusting the plan as reality unfolds. You keep the tools and templates we build.

A recent example

A 90-person manufacturing firm in central Scotland asked us to find out why margins had dropped from 22 per cent to 14 per cent over two years despite steady sales.

Within 11 days we identified three root causes: a supplier contract that had auto-renewed at unfavourable terms, a shift pattern that left expensive CNC machines idle 30 per cent of available hours, and a quoting process that under-priced complex orders.

Six months after implementing the changes, the firm reported a gross margin of 20.4 per cent and reduced overtime costs by £180,000 annually.

Questions we hear often

Most of our clients have between 30 and 500 employees and annual revenue from £3 million to £80 million. We are not the right fit for sole traders or for FTSE 100 companies with in-house strategy teams.
The diagnostic call is free. A full deep-dive and report starts at £8,500. Implementation support is priced monthly and depends on scope; most projects fall between £4,000 and £12,000 per month. We agree all fees in writing before any work begins.
Yes. About a third of our projects are with firms in northern England, and we have completed work in Ireland and the Netherlands. On-site days require travel, which we arrange at our cost for UK engagements.
We tie our implementation support to measurable KPIs agreed at the start. If we are not on track at the midpoint review, we adjust the plan at no extra charge. We have never walked away from a project without delivering a positive return.
We usually schedule the diagnostic call within three business days. If we agree to proceed, the on-site deep dive typically begins within two to three weeks, depending on your calendar and ours.
